Curation
Textually ambiguous in a digital sense as it is, this term has haunted me the last 11 months, as I continue to improve in many ways possible. My career plans. My financial exploits. My personality. My tastes. My views on love. My opinions of people. My meal choices. My favorite breed of dog and cat. My take on humour. My writing style. My presence, both in real life and the internet realm.
And such word will linger on in 2012 (or until it will be replaced, soon enough), as I join the cause to, hopefully, prove the Mayans wrong. Or something.
Subtle jokes aside, I know next year will utterly obliterate this one, given enough hard work will be invested in it. And through the procurement of that golden, fine-toothed comb of life. I desperately need that next level of intense focus. For curation. For meaning.
For happiness.

I’m going to stay on the text route for a while.
I made the necessary changes to an existing Tumblr design script to present typed text beautifully, and lately I’ve just been binning it with near-worthless imagery and quips akin to dick jokes that hark back to imgur/reddit and 4chan, even Twitter. Remember “Text Fiend?” You know what the fuck that was? Me neither. Still sounds catchy though, so I’ll park it in the back lot, the back-backburner. The theme of such title just sounds cheesy to me now, for I’m growing up a little more, perhaps. My editing of words have improved, my discernment of people whom I don’t like and vice-versa have grown finer (and colder: I still believe in necessary bridge-burning though, for I am truly a very forgiving guy, it’s just that some people out there are total hacks). And I’m a much better person for that. This makes me very proud, this.
